Dear , The ACC is changing over to a new membership management system this month. We are writing to inform you of this change. However, the new system sent emails out a day early and we apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. They are legitimate emails from the ACC, as you will see from the explanation below.
Future emails will be sent both in French and in English. Again, I understand it wasn’t the case for the emails sent yesterday. Please rest assured that we are addressing this.
The new member management system should provide a much-improved user experience for our members. The transition is cumbersome, however, and we would be grateful if you can bear with us as we tackle any teething problems that are likely to arise.
Here are five things that you should know:
1. You will receive an email from the new system. We are sending emails to all of our members, directly from the new membership management system. The email will contain a link to access your account in the new system, and it will come from the domain 2mev.com. This is not an email address that the ACC has used before, so our members won’t recognize it. Check your junk folder, and if you see this email, know that you can trust it is from the ACC.
2. You will need a new password to access your account
The existing username and password that you have been using to access the membership system will no longer work. Your new username will be your email address, and you will be asked to create a new password when you log in.
3. As a member of the ACC, you will need to sign a waiver
Whether you’re new to the club or have been with us for years, you will have to sign an online waiver. Previously, we’ve asked members to sign waivers when they attend one of the camps or courses. Local sections ask participants to sign waivers when they go on weekend trips in their area. This new waiver will replace all of those.4. You will be able to update your personal information online
When you receive the email welcoming you to our new membership system, you’ll be able to confirm or update your personal information such as your mailing address, memberships of your family members, cell phone numbers, etc.5. We will also have a new website and online hut bookings
The ACC’s website will also look fresh on May 23rd. Aside from some cosmetic updates, the big change will be that you will be able to book huts online. This is something that our members have been requesting and we are very happy to be rolling it out this spring. Please note that the link to book a hut will go live on May 23rd, it is not yet active. This is a major step in our digital transition. Please bear with us as we will likely encounter some unforeseen issues.
