Vision and Mission
Preserving, practicing and promoting Canadian mountain culture and self-propelled alpine pursuits.
The Alpine Club of Canada fosters alpine/outdoor experiences, knowledge and culture; promotes responsible access; and supports excellence in alpine leadership and skills.
This is accomplished:
- By providing access to local huts and lodges which serve as bases for year-round outdoor activities.
- By bringing members of similar interests together through outings, socials and courses. These activities allow our members to recreate safely, responsibly and enjoyably, to develop their technical and leadership skills, and to learn from others.
- By exchanging information and maintaining good working relationships with other sections, clubs, organizations and authorities who affect or share our interests.
- By providing opportunities to volunteer in a wide variety of areas ranging from Montreal Section Management & Activities, to Environmental Advocacy and Trail Maintenance.
