We look forward to seeing you, on Thursday March 16, for an inspiring, enriching and friendly evening!

How is climate change affecting mountain ecosystems, biodiversity and communities in Canada?

How is climate change affecting mountain ecosystems, biodiversity and communities in Canada?

How can indigenous knowledge and western science come together to inform and improve decision-making?

These are some of the key questions that the Alpine Club of Canada’s “State of the Mountains Report” attempts to answer.

And because being a member of the Alpine Club also means sharing common values and wanting to leave nature a little more beautiful behind, Ariane Dumas (Access & Environment Coordinator) and Emma Glorioso-Deraiche (Social Activities Coordinator) propose that we all get together on Thursday, March 16, from 7 to 10 pm for an inspiring, enriching and friendly evening. We hope to see you there!

On the program, Dr. Lael Parrott, Ph. Vice-President of Access and Environment for the Alpine Club at the National level, will present the State of the Mountains report and answer questions.

Afterwards, Ariane will lead a discussion with the participants to reflect together on the environmental challenges and desires for our section.

Juices, wines, beers and sweet and savoury snacks will be served. Don’t forget to bring your glass!

A great opportunity to get together, catch up and share 😊

Note: the event is open to active members only – voluntary contribution.
